Carol, the founder of Ambrosia and officially certified as Greek travel expert with Travel Beyond the Obvious, has spent over 30 years exploring Greece, and is completely fluent in the language, culture and cuisine. Experience along with many friends and contacts all over the country gives her unmatched insider knowledge. She has been hosting guests in Greece since 1991 and enthusiastically creates unique itineraries with meticulous attention to detail so that each traveler will have an unforgettable experience.

I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, but my spirit is Greek. I fell in love with Greece on my first visit and subsequently, acquired a  BA in Modern Greek Studies at Boston University. Then I moved to Greece in 1990 where I lived for 20 years and developed my love of Greek cuisine, language, culture, country and people–and return for 2 months every year. My passion is promoting  authentic Greek travel, cooking and products through my business, Ambrosia.

I am excited to offer culinary and cultural travel experiences, where I will share my extensive knowledge of Greece by meticulously consulting, planning or personally guiding guests for an unforgettable journey to some of the timeless corners in Greece. Travelers will not only explore genuine flavors but also live the amazing Greek table and hospitality. It is my hope that guests will bring a bit of Greece home with them, recreating the authentic Greek lifestyle, cuisine and conviviality.
